Oakland Raiders CB T.J. Carrie is currently the frontrunner to return punts and RB Taiwan Jones is the favorite to return kickoffs, special teams coordinator Brad Seely said, but WR Joe Hansley, RB DeAndre Washington and WR Jaydon Mickens have also been receiving reps.

Rams | Case Keenum remains starter for now
Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum will enter training camp as the starting quarterback, with QB Jared Goff assuming the backup position, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.
Footballguys View: That will last until the end of training camp. The team didn’t mortgage the future for Jared Goff so he could hold a clipboard. We wouldn’t start either of them and best case scenario, Goff ends up a low-end QB3.
Patriots | Jacoby Brissett contract details
New England Patriots rookie QB Jacoby Brissett signed his four-year rookie contract Thursday, June 16. The deal is worth a total of over $3.4 million and includes a $680,604 signing bonus. He also received workout bonuses of $25,000 for each of 2017, 2018 and 2019. The base salaries of the contract are $450,000 this year, $580,038 in 2017, $735,076 in 2018 and $890,114 in 2019.
Footballguys View: Jimmy Garoppolo gets his first starts if Tom Brady’s suspension holds up, and if he does well, Garoppolo could end up traded. Which means Brissett could be the future of the position. He’s only interesting from a Dynasty standpoint though, as it is unlikely he will see action this year.
Saints | New Orleans backfield taking shape
New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram is the lead running back for the Saints, while RB Tim Hightower appears to be the backup, according to Larry Holder of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. RB C.J. Spiller holds the No. 3 spot.
Footballguys View: Ingram has come into his own, and we think he’s a borderline RB1/RB2 and we could see him tipping 1,000 yards this year. Hightower finally got back into the league after some knee issues, but will be limited to whatever Ingram doesn’t pick up. That means Hightower is unlikely to have any value save as a handcuff. Spiller might be the third back but he’s going to have more work than Hightower, since he brings a little more variety to the table. Consider him only as depth though, as we don’t expect him to do enough to warrant more than a bye-week fill-in, and his value is around RB7.
