Cincinnati Bengals WR James Wright (knee) participated in individual drills for the first time Wednesday, June 15, after undergoing micro fracture knee surgery this offseason. Wright said he felt explosive and he thinks he’ll be ready for training camp, but it’s not certain at this point.
Jaguars | Myles Jack impressing
Jacksonville Jaguars LB Myles Jack (knee) has shown good explosiveness, his ability to change direction and good instincts during minicamp, according to defensive coordinator Todd Wash. Wash also said Jack knows the defense from a mental standpoint.
Patriots | Martellus Bennett fine in backup role
New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett said he doesn’t mind playing second fiddle to TE Rob Gronkowski this year. ‘I really don’t mind being Robin, you know? So right now it’s just working every day and just trying to get better. He’s an excellent player, and I’m gonna be able to get a lot of single coverages with him,’ Bennett said. He has impressed in organized team activities this offseason as a newcomer with his size and athleticism.
Jaguars | Jalen Ramsey learning off the field
Jacksonville Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (knee) has been able to watch plenty of film and practices while he nurses his knee injury. Ramsey said he’s been trying to stay mentally tuned in and has put himself in positions on the field from a mental standpoint. Ramsey added that he feels great and he’ll be good to go for training camp.
