Texans | Houston safety job will be hot battle

Packers | Eddie Lacy continues to get in shape
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy worked out with P90X founder Tony Horton after the season, and Horton estimated Lacy lost 15 to 20 pounds during the workouts. Running backs coach Ben Sirmans said this week that Lacy might again work with Horton leading up to training camp. ‘I’m hopeful,’ Sirmans said. ‘The information I got from what people have told me, it’s helped him. So you always want to be able to do things that help people. I hope he’ll do it.’ After offseason workouts, head coach Mike McCarthy said Lacy still had work to do.
Packers | Trevor Davis impressing coaches
Green Bay Packers WR Trevor Davis has been showing well on special teams. But his contributions may be more wide-ranging than originally expected. ‘It’s been impressive watching what he’s done not only as a returner,’ special teams coach Ron Zook said. ‘He’s come in and we’ve really worked him as a gunner, for example, on the punt team and as a corner holding up and (on the) kickoff team covering.’
Falcons | More deep balls for Julio Jones?
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is expected to see a lot more work down the field this season, as offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan anticipates taking more deep shots. The team added WR Mohamed Sanu, TE Austin Hooper and WR Justin Hardy continues to develop, and Shanahan is hopeful their addition will help keep added defensive attention off of Jones.
Footballguys View: We like the sound of that! Jones is without a doubt one of the premiere receivers in the NFL and is just as good in fantasy, where we have him as an easy WR1.
Bills | Trio of Buffalo RBs see important reps
Buffalo Bills RBs Mike Gillislee, James Wilder Jr. and Jonathan Williams saw the reps in practice Wednesday, June 15, with RBs LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams sidelined. Williams was most impressive in the practice, showing surprising ability to shift direction and make defenders miss.
Footballguys View: The rookie Williams could be the guy who has the best chance to make an impact this year but he will need McCoy and Karlos Williams to stumble before he becomes fantasy relevant. For now, he’s going as the 261st player off the board in drafts as RB77. If anything you can pick him up late but be prepared to let him go early in the season if you have to make room on your roster.

Jets | Darrelle Revis not changing style
New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis (wrist) said he will not change his playing style even though he is getting older. ‘I know what type of player I am,’ Revis said. ‘There’s no need for me to put my energy into those types of things. I’ve been doing this for a while and I’m going to continue keep on doing it until it’s time for me to leave.’
