Dolphins | Kenyan Drake injured Wednesday

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake (hamstring) injured his right hamstring during a special teams drill Wednesday, June 15, and is walking with a limp.

Footballguys View: The Alabama rookie could push for the second spot behind Jay Ajayi, but not if he isn’t practicing. He was slated for special teams and return work, which is why he was out there. Like many rookies, he may not quite be as well conditioned as he could be after all the draft prep.

Bills | LeSean McCoy to be limited in camp

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) is expected to have his touches limited in training camp next month, according to running backs coach Anthony Lynn. McCoy also said not to expect McCoy in for more than one or two drives in preseason games.

Footballguys View: They’ll be careful with him. We hate that he’s already banged up but he’s already on the mend so we’re not really worried much. We see him as a solid RB2, but we do have concerns. Limiting his load in August should help allay those.

Ravens | Eugene Monroe being held out

Baltimore Ravens OT Eugene Monroe (shoulder) is being held out of practice during mandatory minicamp this week because of a potential trade for him. Head coach John Harbaugh explained Monroe’s situation as a ‘front-office-type situation.’ Monroe hasn’t practiced this offseason after he had season-ending surgery last year, but he has been medically cleared to practice.

Footballguys View: Now it seems like he will be traded. While Monroe isn’t a Hall of Famer, he has something left in the tank and there are plenty of OL-needy teams who could be calling for his services.
