Vikings | Minnesota may not pursue Greg Jennings

Free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Dolphins) reiterated his interest in re-joining the Minnesota Vikings Monday, June 13, and has contacted general manager Rick Spielman. There has been no indication yet if the Vikings are interested in signing him, however.

Footballguys View: The Vikings may just move on without him. They seem to be set at the WR position, especially after selecting WR Laquon Treadwell in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft. Jennings has left Spielman voicemails expressing a desire to return, but we don’t see the team falling all over themselves to sign the veteran. The market has been stone cold for Jennings since the Dolphins released him.

Patriots | No brace for Dion Lewis

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis (knee) practiced Monday, June 13, without a brace on his left knee. Lewis said he feels better every day but that he still has a long way to go in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Footballguys View: The team will continue to monitor Lewis closely as he returns from the knee injury that cut his 2015 season short. If healthy, Lewis is a dynamic runner who can make explosive plays as a receiver too. His current ADP is RB15 (4.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins looking to improve

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins said receiving all of the snaps with the first-team offense during organized team activities has helped him because he believes he can build on his 2015 performance. ‘I do think I’m playing with more confidence,’ Cousins said. ‘I have a better understanding of defenses and our scheme and our protections and our routes. And, as a result, I’m able to grow as a player.’

Ravens | Breshad Perriman having surgery

Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman (knee) will have arthroscopic surgery Tuesday, June 14, to determine if he’ll need reconstructive surgery, according to a source. However, Dr. James Andrews revealed that Perriman may not have a significant anterior cruciate ligament tear.

Footballguys View: We’ll know more about the severity of this injury in the future. Perriman missed all of his rookie season in 2015 with a PCL injury, and we hate to see him miss some/most/all of his second season. The Ravens could be in a pinch at WR without Perriman. Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken and Mike Wallace will be their top-3 wideouts in 2016.
