Raiders | Khalil Mack can be more consistent

Oakland Raiders DE Khalil Mack recorded 15 sacks in 2015, but defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. said he wants to see Mack play more consistently this upcoming season.

Footballguys View: He’s not going to play Michael Schofield (Broncos) every week. Mack is a star in the league, but if he’s more consistent then he’ll be an even greater asset for the Raiders defense in 2016.

Raiders | Derek Carr, Amari Cooper linking up

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr and WR Amari Cooper have shown good chemistry during organized team activities. The two players were not able to work together last season because Carr was recovering from an injury.

Footballguys View: The Raiders are on the right track, and they’ll certainly have a fantasy-relevant passing game in 2016. Carr is a low-end QB1 with upside, while Cooper is a low-end WR1 for fantasy owners.

Jaguars | Myles Jack expected to practice

Jacksonville Jaguars LB Myles Jack (knee) should be able to participate in all of the drills during minicamp next week, according to head coach Gus Bradley. Jack will be used at middle linebacker during practice. Bradley said it will be interesting to see how much Jack has learned since he was not allowed to participate in organized team activities.

49ers | Colin Kaepernick looking to improve play

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (knee, shoulder, thumb) has tried to improve his flexibility this offseason by stretching his back because it would tighten up on him in the past. He is looking to become more limber so he can be a more elusive runner, according to a source. Kaepernick is also wearing contact lenses to help his short-area vision and has a tinted visor on his helmet to protect the contacts and reduce the sunlight in his eyes.
