Eagles | Josh Huff drops the ball

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff was listed as one of the disappointments in organized team activities by PhillyVoice.com due to an exorbitant amount of drops.

Footballguys View: Nobody should be surprised by this. Huff was a Chip Kelly favorite (and he played at Oregon, shocking right?) but he’s no lock to make the final roster with the Eagles this year. He’ll have to cut down on the drops in training camp and the preseason if he wants to make the team.

Cardinals | Tyrann Mathieu talks paused

Arizona Cardinals FS Tyrann Mathieu’s contract talks have been put on hold, but that doesn’t mean a deal won’t be reached before training camp, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. If a deal is reached, it’s expected to be worth around $11 million per season, which would make him the highest-paid safety and put him among the highest-paid defensive backs.

Broncos | Brandon Marshall talking deal with DEN

Denver Broncos restricted free-agent LB Brandon M. Marshall is in advanced contract negotiations with the team before his deadline Wednesday, June 15. He has a second-round, $2.553 tender attached to him. If he doesn’t sign by Wednesday, Marshall’s deal could be reduced to a 10% raise from the $585,000 salary he made last season, although the Broncos would probably re-up him for the $2.553 million.
