Browns | Scooby Wright drawing praise

Cleveland Browns LB Scooby Wright is exciting the coaching staff so far after offseason workouts. ‘He’s done an excellent job of trying to learn our defense, working very hard. He’s going to have a bright future,’ inside linebackers coach Johnny Holland said. Still, the rookie must convince the coaches he can contribute on special teams if he wants to earn a roster spot this summer.

Browns | RG3 has been underwhelming so far

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III will have to earn the starting job during the offseason, training camp and the preseason. Beat writer Tony Grossi said in a radio interview Monday, June 27, that Griffin has been underwhelming. ‘He is learning a new offense. First of all he is healthy, he’s very healthy. He looks physically like the old Robert Griffin in that he’s moving great, he can zing the ball pretty well, but that’s just the first step,’ Grossi said.

NFL | Antrel Rolle has heard from teams

Free-agent FS Antrel Rolle (Bears) said he has heard from a few teams this offseason, but he is waiting for the right situation before signing.

Footballguys View: Rolle had a disappointing season for the Bears in 2015. In seven games, he played 360 snaps and compiled 35 tackles with only one pass breakup. There’s a possibility he ends up with the Dolphins, but Rolle may not find a new team until after training camp starts.

Patriots | Several Pats receivers on bubble

New England Patriots WRs Keshawn Martin, Aaron Dobson, Nate Washington and Chris Harper are all considered to be on the roster bubble by Paul Perillo of patriots.com. Perillo added that the mostly likely scenario is Martin, Dobson and Washington battling for one or two roster spots.

Footballguys View: Reports indicate that Washington has struggled to get on the same page with QB Tom Brady during the offseason. Dobson had a lot of drops in college at Marshall, and his lack of concentration has continued as a pro. None of these receivers have much (if any) fantasy relevance even if they do make the 53-man roster.
