Broncos | Sylvester Williams’ injury not serious

Denver Broncos DT Sylvester Williams (shoulder) tested out well with his shoulder, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

Footballguys View: Good news for the Broncos here. Williams is going to start at nose tackle in the second year of the Wade Phillips defense. He’ll come off the field in nickel packages (ran over 60 percent of the time by the Broncos last year), but Williams is an important part of their early-down run defense.

Cardinals | Robert Nkemdiche likely out two weeks

Updating a previous story, Arizona Cardinals rookie DL Robert Nkemdiche (ankle) is expected to miss about two weeks with a high ankle sprain suffered during rookie drills Tuesday, July 26.

Footballguys View: High-ankle sprains are known to linger if not given enough time to heal properly. Nkemdiche is a talented prospect with intriguing upside. We see him as a part-time pass-rusher for the Cardinals this year.
