Kansas City Chiefs LB Justin Houston (knee) is not expected to participate in training camp, according to head coach Andy Reid. Houston continues to recover from surgery on a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered last year.

Jacksonville Jaguars C Luke Bowanko (hip) and DE Jonathan Woodard (Achilles’) were placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, July 26. CB Mike Hilton (undisclosed) was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

Miami Dolphins CB Xavien Howard (knee) underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and has been placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list. He is expected to return by the start of the regular season.

Free-agent TE Chase Coffman (Seahawks) is signing an undisclosed deal with the Indianapolis Colts Tuesday, July 26.

Free-agent DE Greg Hardy (Cowboys) is not being considered by the Washington Redskins to replace LB Junior Galette (Achilles’), according to a source. Galette is out for the season with a torn Achilles’ tendon.

Footballguys View: Hardy has gotten little interest on the open market as teams don’t want to deal with his off-field baggage. Washington’s pass rush was negatively impacted by the loss (again) of Galette, but even they aren’t desperate enough to add Hardy.

Cincinnati Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict (knee) will not play in the preseason, according to head coach Marvin Lewis. Burfict will serve a three-game suspension to start the 2016 regular season.

Arizona Cardinals CB Justin Bethel (foot), FS Tyrann Mathieu (knee), DT Frostee Rucker and LB Zack Wagenmann (foot) were placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, July 26.

Indianapolis Colts DT Henry Anderson (knee) and TE Darion Griswold (undisclosed) were placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, July 26. S Clayton Geathers (undisclosed) and TE Mike Miller (undisclosed) were placed on the Non-Football Injury list.

Free-agent WR Roddy White (Falcons) wants to play this season and is in contact with a few teams, according to a source.

Kansas City Chiefs SS Eric Berry is not planning to report for the start of training camp. He has not signed his franchise tender offer at this point, so he will not be fined for missing camp.
