Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (illness) left the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Oakland Raiders because he did not feel right, and could not catch his breath.

New York Jets LB David Harris (shoulder) left the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 27, against the New York Giants due to a shoulder injury.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware finished with nine carries for 24 yards and a touchdown to go along with four catches for 26 yards in a preseason win over the Chicago Bears on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (leg, ankle) was carried off the field Saturday, Aug. 27, after suffering a lower-body injury on a goal-line run against the Detroit Lions.

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian will draw the start against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, Aug. 27, and will be followed by rookie QB Paxton Lynch and then QB Mark Sanchez.

Footballguys View: Lynch is the future of the team, and he’s competing with Trevor Siemian to be the starter in Week 1 of the regular season. Sanchez may not make the team.

San Francisco QB Blaine Gabbert and QB Colin Kaepernick are still competing for the starting job, according to head coach Chip Kelly.

Footballguys View: It may be open, but Gabbert is in the lead. Kaepernick had three offseason surgeries, and he’s spent a majority of the time this year recovering from those procedures. Gabbert isn’t great, but he’s better than a banged up Kaepernick.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie QB Carson Wentz (ribs) was cleared to throw the ball Friday, Aug. 26, and reportedly ‘looked very sharp pre-game’ Saturday, Aug. 27. He is expected to play in the team’s exhibition finale Thursday, Sept. 1.

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (Achilles’) left the field after only two plays Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Detroit Lions, and was later diagnosed with a torn Achilles’, ending his season.

The Atlanta Falcons waived OL Michael Huey, RB Gus Johnson, WR Leslie Jordan, TE Arthur Lynch, LB Ivan McLennan, QB Sean Renfree, DB Ryan White and DE Brandon Williams on Saturday, Aug. 27.
