Footballguys View: McCoy is fine, but the Bills are being careful with their core pieces after injuries have hit their offensive line and linebackers during camp. McCoy had a bad hamstring injury last summer that affected him into the season, so he’s ahead of last year so far.

Arizona Cardinals QB Jake Coker (knee) will not be able to play in the preseason game against the Houston Texans Sunday, Aug. 28, because of a sore knee.

Free-agent SS William Moore (Falcons) said he would be interested in re-sign with the Atlanta Falcons, but Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said the team is not considering Moore. Quinn did say the team likely will sign a veteran safety because of the injury to FS Keanu Neal (knee).

Los Angeles Rams OT Rob Havenstein (foot) passed his physical Friday, Aug. 26, and has been removed from the Physically Unable to Perform list.

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be the starting quarterback in the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers Friday, Aug. 26. QB Tom Brady will also receive playing time during the game.

Tennessee Titans LB Kevin Dodd (foot) is expected to play in the preseason game against the Oakland Raiders Saturday, Aug. 27, but likely will receive limited snaps since he is working his way back into game shape.
