Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green said there is ‘no way’ he is missing the birth of his first child, and he would miss a regular season game if it comes to that. His first child is due in about a month.

Detroit Lions RB Dwayne Washington is ‘trending’ towards making the team as the No. 4 running back after RB Stevan Ridley was released Thursday, August 25. ‘I’ve been impressed with some of the things he’s done,’ said offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter. ‘When the guy gets the ball, he does impressive things. That’s a good trait to have.’
Footballguys View: We like Washington’s ability. He’s large and swift with the ball in his hands. We could see him contribute as a power back for the Lions. Zach Zenner is their primary power back at this point with Ameer Abdullah as the starter and Theo Riddick as the receiving back.
