Buccaneers | Doug Martin ruled out Sunday vs. Denver

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (hamstring) has been ruled out for the team’s Week 4 game Sunday, Oct. 2, versus the Denver Broncos.

Footballguys View: Charles Sims will get another start. He has a high PPR floor with his involvement in the passing game, but scoring chances might be minimal against the tough Broncos defense.

Chiefs | Jamaal Charles to make ’16 debut Sunday

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) will make his season debut in the team’s Week 4 contest Sunday, Oct. 2, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a source.

Footballguys View: Charles will likely still take a back seat to Spencer Ware in his first game back, so he should remain on your bench. It’s possible that Charcandrick West’s injury forced the Chiefs hand here, but it’s still a good sign that the team did not take advantage of next week’s bye to get Charles another week of rest before returning.

Colts | Colts’ Friday practice report

Indianapolis Colts CB Darius Butler (hamstring), C Jonotthan Harrison (illness) and WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) did not practice Friday, Sept. 30. WR Phillip Dorsett (ankle) and OLs Denzelle Good (back) and Joe Reitz (back) were limited participants, while CB Patrick Robinson (concussion) and LB Erik Walden (undisclosed) practiced in full.

Footballguys View: Dorsett hasn’t impressed yet in more action with Moncrief out, and even though the Jags matchup is a good one, he might not be a strong play with this ankle issue that popped up during the week.

Chargers | Antonio Gates remains out of practice

San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 30, and is expected to miss his second straight game in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints.

Footballguys View: Hunter Henry is a viable streaming play this week against one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. The Saints haven’t given up big games to tight ends this year, but Henry should be one of Philip Rivers main targets after a strong first start up until his fumble that cost the team a chance to win the game.

Steelers | Ryan Shazier ruled out for Week 4

Pittsburgh Steelers LB Ryan Shazier (knee) has been ruled out for Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Footballguys View: The Steelers most talented player on defense is out for this week. The screen game that ate them up vs. the Eagles could be used a lot by the Chiefs, exposing the loss of Shazier’s range. Travis Kelce and Spencer Ware should both benefit from this absence.
