Jets | Ryan Fitzpatrick so-so in victory

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 16 of his 34 pass attempts for 228 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 8 game against the Cleveland Browns. He also rushed four times for 13 yards.

Footballguys View: Fitzpatrick was still rough and one wonders if the team will turn to Bryce Petty when they judge the second year quarterback is ready. The Browns had surrendered multiple pass scores to everyone they faced this year, so Fitzpatrick’s one score is a good picture of where he is right now. Miami is a good matchup next week, but Fitzpatrick is sinking.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor hits century mark

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) posted six catches for a game-high 101 yards in the Week 8 against the New York Jets. Pryor was targeted 13 times.

Footballguys View: Pryor was on fire in the first half, but failed to put his day over the top with a good second half. He is still a viable WR3/Flex as long as the Browns don’t have to go to Kevin Hogan.

Browns | Duke Johnson totals 116 yards

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson rushed four times for 29 yards in the Week 8 game against the New York Jets, but most of his damage was in the pass game. He posted six catches for 87 yards on eight targets.

Footballguys View: More than half of Johnson’s receiving yards came on a late desperation drive. He hasn’t been a potent fantasy running back even though the Browns haven’t won yet. He remains a low ceiling flex play at best against Dallas next week.
