Broncos | C.J. Anderson may be ready for playoffs

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (knee) is expected to miss eight to 12 weeks because of his knee surgery, but the Broncos hope that he will be able to return for the playoffs. The severity of the injury will not be known until the surgery occurs.

Footballguys View: We expect Booker to be firmly ensconced as the starter when Anderson comes back. Given the length of fantasy seasons, Anderson is done for fantasy purposes.

Browns | Josh McCown on track to start

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said all signs point to QB Josh McCown (shoulder) being the team’s starting quarterback for Week 8.

Footballguys View: It’s either that or the team becomes (Chris) Hogan’s Heroes and that seems like a bad thing. Also a bad thing? Starting McCown as more than a “I’m freaking out everyone on my roster is on bye” QB3.
