Dallas Cowboys practice squad OG Ryan Seymour was promoted to the active roster Saturday, Dec. 31.

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett (ankle, shoulder) is expected to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 even though he is listed as questionable for the game.

Footballguys View: The Patriots haven’t locked up the no.1 seed in the AFC, so they’ll be playing hard against the Dolphins. Bennett has been hot and cold this year for fantasy owners. On the season, the Dolphins allow an average of 58.6 passing yards per game (13th) to tight ends. The last time Bennett played Miami (Week 2), he had five catches, 114 receiving yards and one touchdown.

New York Patriots QB Tom Brady (thigh) is expected to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 even though he is listed as questionable for the game.

Footballguys View: Brady and the Patriots want to wrap up the no.1 seed in the AFC with a win. They’ll be going after the Dolphins on Sunday. Brady didn’t play against the Dolphins in Week 2 earlier this year as he was suspended. He should be able to have a strong day in Week 17.

San Francisco 49ers practice squad RB Raheem Mostert was promoted to the active roster Saturday, Dec. 31.

Footballguys View: Undrafted out of Purdue in 2015, Mostert has been on several (seven) NFL teams during his short time in the pros. A track athlete in college, Mostert was known mostly for his return ability.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (hamstring) said his hamstring is still sore and that he likely will not play in Week 17 even though he is listed as questionable.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Fitzgerald Toussaint is expected to receive a solid amount of playing time against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17. RB DeAngelo Williams is also expected to receive carries during the game.

Baltimore Ravens LB Zach Orr (neck) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Dec. 30.

Cleveland Browns LB Jamie Collins said he would be willing to re-sign with the Browns this offseason if the money is right.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers P Bryan Anger signed a five-year contract extension Saturday, Dec. 31, worth $17 million.

Free-agent CB Tharold Simon (Cardinals) worked out for the New York Jets Friday, Dec. 30. The Jets also met with free-agent CB Chris Culliver (Dolphins) Friday.
