Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman indicated the team may be open to re-signing impending free-agent OT Matt Kalil this offseason.

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said he has not talked with RB Adrian Peterson at this point but will not make a decision on Peterson’s contract until he talks with him and his agent. Spielman said the team will make a decision before the start of free agency.

The Washington Redskins have yet to engage in talks with any of its players with expiring contracts – a list that includes impending free agents WR Pierre Garcon, WR DeSean Jackson, TE Vernon Davis, DE Chris Baker. However, multiple sources report the Redskins expect to meet with the representatives of their impending free agents at the NFL Scouting Combine next week.

Footballguys View: We think out of those players listed, only Davis will return to Washington. Baker, Jackson and Garcon might quickly get out of Washington’s price range.

He’s recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, and the recovery time is anywhere from 4-6 months.
