Broncos | Denver sticking with young quarterbacks

Denver Broncos QBs Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch remain the focus of the Broncos’ quarterback situation, general manager John Elway reiterated Monday, March 27. Elway said Denver has confidence in both quarterbacks and that they should provide a great competition this offseason. Elway did add that the Broncos will ‘see what’s available in the draft.’

Footballguys View: The Broncos moved up in the first round last year to draft Lynch. Siemian was the starter in 2016, but the team will want him to compete with Lynch this year for the job. The Tony Romo conversation seems to be done in Denver. Never say never, but the further we get away from the start of free agency the more it seems like the Broncos have moved on.

Browns | Cleveland not done with Jimmy Garoppolo

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo remains of interest to the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland could continue to pursue a trade this weekend at the NFL owners meetings. As reported previously, Garoppolo is not expected to be traded. Neither side has acknowledged that a possible deal is or is not in the works.

Footballguys View: There’s a breaking point for everyone. The Patriots don’t want to give up Garoppolo, but a couple of first-round picks could change their mind. The Browns have targeted Garoppolo as a potential franchise quarterback, and they will do what they can to add him via trade if at all possible.
