Broncos | Denver inks Carlos Henderson

Denver Broncos third-round pick WR Carlos Henderson (Louisiana Tech) signed his four-year rookie contract Friday, May 26. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Footballguys View: We are excited about Henderson in dynasty leagues. Henderson is a tough, physical receiver who excels at running after the catch. Some in the scouting community have compared his game to Randall Cobb (Packers), and Henderson is an aggressive player who can win at the catch point. Henderson will work as the no3 WR for the Broncos behind Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. He’s got little value in redraft leagues but the skill set to be a Pro Bowl player in dynasty formats.

Cowboys | Ryan Switzer to have ‘significant’ role

Dallas Cowboys fourth-round pick WR Ryan Switzer is getting first-team reps in the slot while WR Cole Beasley is dealing hamstring soreness. However, while head coach Jason Garrett has made it clear while Switzer was drafted in part for his ability to back up Beasley, the Cowboys are working on packages for both to be on the field at the same time to take advantage of mismatches.

Footballguys View: Switzer plays a lot like Wes Welker. He’s small but lightning fast and electric with the ball in his hands. Switzer has great foot frequency and can change direction on a dime without losing speed. He does have a small catch radius so passes need to be on point for him to be properly utilized as a receiver.

Vikings | Mike Zimmer not going anywhere

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer vowed Friday, May 26, his ongoing eye issues will not prevent him from continuing his coaching career. Zimmer had his latest eye surgery – his eighth – on May 17.

Footballguys View: He is expected to return to Minnesota on June 4 to visit with local doctors before a decision is made as to whether or not he will attend OTAs later that week.
