Browns | Myles Garrett injury update

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett (foot) suffered a left foot injury during practice Wednesday, June 14, but head coach Hue Jackson said he thinks Garrett will be fine.

Footballguys View: The Browns should take it easy on the no1 overall pick as he’s a bit banged up. If this is a minor injury, then they should just shut him down for minicamp and get him ready for the start of training camp.

Jets | Chad Hansen sidelined Wednesday

New York Jets WR Chad Hansen (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 14, because of a sore knee. Head coach Todd Bowles said he does not think the injury is serious and that Hansen should be ready for training camp.

Footballguys View: Hansen could be a big part of the new-look Jets WR corps. The rookie from Cal has drawn Allen Hurns (Jaguars) comparisons from some in the scouting community. Hansen can get by the defense for deep targets, and he’s got the body control to work the boundaries on the field. He will compete with fellow rookie Ardarius Stewart and second-year pro Charone Peake to be the Jets no3 wideout behind Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson.

Bills | Cardale Jones could be on bubble

Buffalo Bills QB Cardale Jones could be on the roster bubble because he was fourth in the quarterback rotation during practice Wednesday, June 14, behind QBs Tyrod Taylor, T.J. Yates and Nathan Peterman.

Footballguys View: Jones has a big arm but little control as a passer. He’ll need to show consistent accuracy during training camp and the preseason if he wants to stay with the Bills. Taylor is the clear-cut starter and Peterman is an interesting developmental quarterback we have a lot of deep dynasty love for.

Cowboys | Rico Gathers remains sidelined

Dallas Cowboys TE Rico Gathers (illness) missed his second straight day of practice Wednesday, June 14, because of an illness.

Footballguys View: Gathers, a sixth-round pick in 2016, never played college football but was a college basketball player at Baylor. He’s competing as a developmental player behind Jason Witten. Fantasy owners in super deep dynasty leagues should be monitoring his progress.
