Jets | Kenbrell Thompkins at Jets camp

Free-agent WR Kenbrell Thompkins (Jets) is trying out at the New York Jets’ minicamp Tuesday, June 13.

Footballguys View: Thompkins has acrobatic ability as a receiver, but he’s a long-shot to make the 53-man roster. The Jets have purged the roster, cutting Eric Decker as the latest move and are going with younger options at the wide receiver position. Quincy Enunwa will be the lead receiver this year with guys like Robby Anderson and rookie Ardarius Stewart vying for targets behind him.

Ravens | Two Ravens back in action

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (Achilles’) and TE Darren Waller (undisclosed) were back at practice Tuesday, June 13.

Footballguys View: With Dennis Pitta gone, the Ravens need one of their tight ends to emerge. That could very well be Watson. A free agent addition in 2016, Watson’s season was cut short by this Achilles’ injury. Those aren’t as devastating as they used to be, and Watson could be the lead tight end for the Ravens. He had 74 receptions, 825 yards, and 7 touchdowns in 2015 with the Saints but should not produce at that level in 2017. If healthy, projecting him for around 35 catches is more accurate.
