Footballguys View: It wasn’t that long ago (last year to be precise) that Sharpe was an intriguing rookie for the Titans. This year things are much different. Sharpe is buried on the depth chart, he’s been banged up with this foot injury and his spot on the 53-man roster is no guarantee.

Philadelphia Eagles DE Brandon Graham (triceps) left practice Monday, Aug. 21, with a strained triceps, according to a source.

Footballguys View: Don’t expect the Eagles to rush Graham back out there. The injury isn’t considered serious.

Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler made numerous plays in practice Monday, Aug. 21. Beat writer Omar Kelly opined that Cutler provided clear upgrades from QB Ryan Tannehill in arm strength and pocket presence.

Footballguys View: The argument could be made that Cutler will be better for the Dolphins skill position players because of his willingness to challenge a defense. We’re not upgrading the players astronomically, but it just makes sense that Cutler is a little more willing to take chances and that could pay off with a few more big plays from this offense that sometimes looked stale with Tannehill calling the shots.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith is the team’s unquestioned starting quarterback, according to head coach Andy Reid.

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is in a red, non-contact jersey Monday, Aug. 21.
