New York Giants RB Orleans Darkwa (back) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 4, according to a source, and is considered week-to-week.

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead has finished serving his three-game suspension and is eligible to play in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. The Saints will need to make a move to bring Snead onto the active roster.

Cincinnati Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict is back with the club after serving his three-game suspension. The Bengals have a three-day window to make a move to create a spot on the 53-man roster for Burfict.

The Carolina Panthers signed WR Jamaal Jones (Chargers) to the practice squad Tuesday, Sept. 26.

The Indianapolis Colts signed WR Matt Hazel, RB Troymaine Pope and CB Channing Stribling to their practice squad Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Free-agent RB Travaris Cadet (Saints) signed an undisclosed contract with the New York Jets on Tuesday, Sept. 26, according to league sources.

Free-agent QB Garrett Grayson (Saints) worked out for the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, Sept. 26.

New York Giants RB Orleans Darkwa (back) doesn’t know if he’ll practice this week, but he does expect to be able to take the field in Week 4. Darkwa will receive treatment for tightness in his tweaked back.

Footballguys View: That’s cool, but fantasy owners aren’t expecting much from Darkwa…or any Giants RB at this time. Darkwa and Paul Perkins are not running the ball with much authority or effectiveness. Shane Vereen isn’t lighting the fantasy world on fire either. It might lead to more opportunity for rookie Wayne Gallman, but for now Darkwa is the guy that could get more work with Perkins’ ineffectiveness.

Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Kenjon Barner (Chargers) was signed to a one-year contract by the Philadelphia Eagles Tuesday, Sept. 26. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys View: Barner is back with the Eagles (spent 2014-2016 in Philadelphia) after spending the summer with the Chargers. He is familiar with the scheme and gives the team more depth after losing Darren Sproles for the year. Barner is nothing more than a no4 RB behind LeGarrette Blount, Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement.
