DE Jacquies Smith (illness) and DT Chris Baker (illness) did not participate in practice and are listed as doubtful. OT Kevin Pamphile (illness) did not practice and is listed as questionable. CB Brent Grimes (shoulder) was limited and is listed as questionable. LB Devante Bond (knee) and DT Gerald McCoy (ankle) fully participated in practice and are listed as questionable.

New England Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (ribs) and DT Vincent Valentine (knee) did not practice Friday, Sept. 2. Burkhead is out for Week 3, while Valentine was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. WR Danny Amendola (concussion, knee), OT Marcus Cannon (ankle, concussion), WR Phillip Dorsett (knee), S Nate Ebner (shoulder), CB Stephon Gilmore (groin), TE Rob Gronkowski (groin), LB Dont’a Hightower (knee), WR Chris Hogan (knee), LB Elandon Roberts (thumb), CB Eric Rowe (groin) and WR Matthew Slater (hamstring) were each limited in practice and considered questionable for the game against the Houston Texans.

Los Angeles Chargers CB Jason Verrett (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and has been ruled out for Week 3. WR Mike Williams (back) was limited during practice and has been ruled out. OT Joe Barksdale (foot) did not practice and is listed as questionable. RB Melvin Gordon (knee) and LB Hayes Pullard (knee) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. C Spencer Pulley (knee), WR Dontrelle Inman (groin), S Rayshawn Jenkins (shoulder) and OG Kenny Wiggins (ankle) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Chargers | Questionable tag for Melvin Gordon

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

Footballguys View: There’s no outward sign that Gordon will miss the game against the Chiefs, but check back on Sunday just in case. Branden Oliver would be next in line for touches with rookie UDFA Austin Ekeler also mixing in.
