Patriots | Tom Brady dealing with injured right thumb

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (thumb) suffered a cut to his right thumb during practice Wednesday, Jan. 17, which was gushing blood and required multiple stitches, according to a source close to the situation. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the injury occurred when RB Rex Burkhead collided with him. Brady was held out of practice Thursday, Jan. 18, but was ‘zinging it pretty good’ when he returned to action as a limited practice participant Friday, Jan. 19.

Vikings | Andrew Sendejo still in concussion protocol

Minnesota Vikings SS Andrew Sendejo (concussion) remains in concussion protocol despite serving as a limited practice participant this week and being listed as questionable on the injury report. Head coach Mike Zimmer is optimistic that Sendejo will be able to play in the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, Jan. 21, although he will have to pass several additional tests.
