Falcons | Julio Jones surpasses 100-yard mark

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones caught nine passes for 101 yards in the Divisional Round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, Jan. 13.

Footballguys View: Jones is the heart and soul of what the Falcons do on offense. He made some tough grabs against the Eagles, and Jones even took on some big hits in order to secure those incoming passes. He put up a valiant effort in a loss to the Eagles.

Falcons | Tevin Coleman has solid outing

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman rushed for 79 yards on 10 carries in the Divisional Round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, Jan. 13. He also caught one pass for 14 yards during the game.

Footballguys View: The Eagles couldn’t stop Coleman, especially in the first half of the game. The Falcons curiously didn’t use Coleman more, despite the great success he was having with the rock. Instead, Terron Ward got some snaps and a target on a shovel pass when the team was close to pay dirt with the game on the line. That mistake ended up costing the Falcons.

Eagles | Nick Foles held without a TD in division game

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles went 23-for-30 for 246 yards in a 15-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Foles did not score a touchdown, nor was he intercepted.

Footballguys View: Foles was very effective as a passer on Saturday. He didn’t seem rattled under pressure and made several key throws to keep drives alive (6-of-13 on third downs as a team). Expect a similar game plan for Foles in the NFC Championship Game next week.
