NFL | Sony Michel measured up in Indy
Georgia RB Sony Michel checked in with a height of 5-foot-10 and 5/8 inches at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Feb. 28, while being listed with a weight of 214 pounds. He also had measurements of 9 1/8 inches (hands), 31 1/4 inches (arms) and 73 5/8 inches (wingspan).
Footballguys View: Michel’s draft stock has been on the rise since the College Football Playoff. He’s most comparable to LeSean McCoy because of his speed and big play ability. Michel’s fumble rate is a concern, but if he takes care of the ball he can be an All-Pro in the NFL. We could see Michel going in the late first or early second round of the 2018 NFL draft.
NFL | Royce Freeman measured at combine
Oregon RB Royce Freeman officially had a height of 5-foot-11 and 1/2 inches with a weight of 229 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, Feb. 28. He also had measurements of 9 1/2 inches (hands), 32 inches (arms) and 76 3/4 inches (wingspan).
Footballguys View: Freeman is your traditional power back with the size and intent to grind down opponents as the game goes on. His game is a bit like Jonathan Stewart’s because Freeman is relentless when running between the tackles. He should be a fourth- or fifth-round pick.
