Philadelphia Eagles DT Timmy Jernigan (illness), CB Ronald Darby (illness) and LB Mychal Kendricks (illness), RB Kenjon Barner (illness) and even head coach Doug Pederson (illness) have all been dealing with a sickness that has spread around Philadelphia’s locker room, according to Kendricks. ‘It’s like a cold,’ Kendricks said. ‘I think it started sometime last week. Something we’ve got to get through. We’ll be fine.’
Texans | Deshaun Watson excited for training camp
Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (knee) is looking forward to training camp this offseason because he will be so much more comfortable in his second year. The dual-threat quarterback said his head was spinning last year, but now he knows what he’ll need to accomplish before the season commences. As reported previously, Watson is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and could participate in organized team activities.
Steelers | Ryan Shazier out of hospital
Pittsburgh Steelers LB Ryan Shazier (back) was discharged Thursday, Feb.1, from the Rehabilitation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Shazier will continue to participate in outpatient therapy, however.
Patriots | Tom Brady has fared well indoors
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and company will be playing in a dome for Super Bowl LII, which is the Minnesota Vikings’ U.S. Bank Stadium. Brady has posted an 11-2 record while averaging 265.9 yards and 2.2 touchdowns in 13 career dome games.
