The Philadelphia Eagles acquired the No. 49 overall pick from the Indianapolis Colts for the No. 52 and No. 169 picks in the 2018 NFL Draft, using the pick to add TE Dallas Goedert right in front of the Dallas Cowboys.

Chiefs | Make deal to scoot up to No. 46
The Kansas City Chiefs acquired the No. 46 and No. 100 picks overall in the 2018 NFL Draft and traded the No. 54 and No. 78 pick to the Cincinnati Bengals. The No. 46 pick was used on Mississippi DE Breeland Speaks.
Footballguys View: Teams are not hesitating to move up early and often to get themselves the players they want. He who hesitates is lost in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Cowboys | DAL drafted Connor Williams 50th overall
The Dallas Cowboys selected Texas OG Connor Williams with the 50th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday, April 27.
Footballguys View: With their tight ends all stolen, the Cowboys settled for a solid guard/tackle option. 2017 was a down year for him, but if he can bounce back, Williams is a great run blocker, which Dallas can use to help Ezekiel Elliott, and a solid pass blocker.
Eagles | Philly selects Dallas Goedert
The Philadelphia Eagles selected South Dakota State TE Dallas Goedert with the 49th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday April 27.
Footballguys View: Which was better shade? David Akers mocking the Dallas fans with the Eagles Super Bowl or the Eagles grabbing a tight end the Cowboys wanted, in Dallas’ own house, who is also named Dallas? They just lost Trey Burton, but Goedert is a very athletic tight end who can really produce some huge plays. That was vicious, Philadelphia.
Chargers | Uchenna Nwosu added by Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers selected Southern California LB Uchenna Nwosu with the 48th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday, April 27.
Footballguys View: Nwosu played a lot of edge pressure at USC, but may have to come off the ball and play more coverage and less “pin your ears back and go.” He bats a lot of balls down, so he could be a real pain for the rest of the AFC West’s quarterbacks.
Buccaneers | Tampa adds Ronald Jones
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Southern California RB Ronald Jones with the 38th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday, April 27.
Footballguys View: Tampa Bay was looking to replace Doug Martin and get an explosive playmaker in Ronald Jones. The former Trojan can make catches, work outside and create his own yards. He gained 1,500 yards behind an at times injury plagued line at USC last season. He will see a lot of work in this offense.
Colts | Braden Smith selected by Colts
The Indianapolis Colts selected Auburn OG Braden Smith with the 37th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday, April 27.
Footballguys View: All it seemed to take was a major, lingering injury to Andrew Luck for the Colts to begin really focusing on offensive line play. Along with first round guard Quenton Nelson, Smith forms a tough inside vanguard for the run game, and a solid overall improvement in pass blocking up the middle.
Colts | Indy adds Darius Leonard
The Indianapolis Colts selected South Carolina State LB Darius Leonard with the 36th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday, April 27.
Footballguys View: Very good in coverage and solid off the ball, Leonard will start off as a third down, sub-package player but he has the upside to do more down the road.
Browns | Nick Chubb selected by Browns
The Cleveland Browns selected Georgia RB Nick Chubb with the 35th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday, April 27.
Footballguys View: For those who felt that the Browns should have grabbed Saquon Barkley first overall and come back for a quarterback, Nick Chubb should help ease their pain. While nowhere near the back Barkley looks to be, Chubb is a big, talented back who does a lot well, if nothing completely outstandingly. He’s going to have to learn how to work on passing downs, which he didn’t have to often at Georgia, otherwise he will lose carries to guys like Duke Johnson and Carlos Hyde.
Giants | Will Hernandez joins Giants
The New York Giants selected Texas-El Paso OG Will Hernandez with the 34th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft Friday, April 27.
Footballguys View: The Giants go with the only positional pick they could and snag the best remaining guard. Hernandez is a beast run blocking, so it makes sense given their No. 2 pick of Saquon Barkley. He’s not bad in pass protection either, and will probably end up at right guard to help shore up that side.
