Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) said he has started running in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn lateral collateral ligament. The quarterback added that he feels good and is happy where he’s at in his progress.

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) said his injured foot is completely healed and that his focus this offseason is securing a contract extension before the regular season begins. If an extension is not achieved then Olsen said broadcasting for Monday Night Football would be a viable option.

Houston Texans C Nick Martin (ankle) has resumed running following his offseason ankle surgery. He is expected to be ready for the regular season.

Chicago Bears RB Jordan Howard’s agent said the Bears will not be trading their star running back.

University of Wisconsin CB Nick Nelson (knee) underwent successful surgery to fix the torn meniscus in his knee Tuesday, April 17. Dr. James Andrews, who performed the surgery, discovered Nelson did not need a full repair a meniscus, leaving Nelson with a recovery time of approximately six weeks – as opposed to the expected three to four months.

Free-agent CB Tharold Simon (Redskins) is expected to participate in minicamp with the Chicago Bears on a tryout basis this week.

Kansas City Chiefs LB Dee Ford (back) underwent surgery in the offseason to repair a back issue that dogged him most of last season. While he was vague with reporters about his planned participation for OTAs this spring, he is expected to be fully healthy by training camp.
