Giants | Lorenzo Carter could start as rookie
New York Giants LB Lorenzo Carter has a solid chance to win one of the outside linebacker jobs as a rookie because of his pass-rush ability.
Giants | Three Giants may compete for nickel back job
New York Giants CBs Grant Haley, Aaron Davis and William Gay are expected to be candidates for the nickel back job during training camp.
Eagles | Michael Bennett to see time at DT
Philadelphia Eagles DE Michael Bennett is expected to receive some snaps at defensive tackle this upcoming season.
Eagles | Dallas Goedert may be No. 2 TE
Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert has a solid chance to be the primary backup at tight end this season because he is a better blocker than TE Richard Rodgers.
Footballguys View: Goedert is an exciting rookie prospect at the tight end position, but we’d be more excited about his immediate fantasy impact if he was with a different team. Yes, Trey Burton moved on in free agency to the Bears and Brent Celek is currently looking for work but the Eagles tight end position is all about Zach Ertz. He’s been a top-10 fantasy TE each of the last two years, and Ertz should continue to produce at a TE1 level in 2018. Goedert should get some looks here and there but won’t do much unless Ertz misses time. We love Goedert in dynasty formats.
Eagles | Markus Wheaton has chance to make team
Philadelphia Eagles WR Markus Wheaton appears to be the leading candidate for the No. 5 receiver job for the Eagles because of his NFL experience and ability to make plays. He will compete with WRs Greg Ward Jr. and Shelton Gibson for the job.
Footballguys View: With seven catches over the last two seasons, we’re not counting on Wheaton to do a lot…no matter if he stays with the Eagles or has to find another team. The Eagles are jam-packed at the position and Wheaton has turned in a disappointing pro career since the Steelers made him a third-round pick out of Oregon State in 2013.
Eagles | Jason Peters limited
Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles OT Jason Peters (knee) participated in the group installment and did individual drills in organized team activities, but he didn’t play during competitive drills.
Eagles | Alshon Jeffery remains idle
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) remains out of practice in organized team activities.

Eagles | Jordan Hicks doing individual work
Philadelphia Eagles LB Jordan Hicks (Achilles’) has done individual work in organized team activities.
Bears | Dion Sims still valued
Chicago Bears TE Dion Sims is still a valuable piece to the puzzle, according to head coach Matt Nagy. ‘The nice thing with Dion is that he’s a guy that’s proven to be a solid blocker,’ Nagy said. ‘He can be in there and be your Y-tight end, but yet he still has really good hands. He can make plays on intermediate routes.’
