Rams | Todd Gurley limited in NFC title game

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed four times for 10 yards and a touchdown and he added a three-yard catch in the NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints, while RB C.J. Anderson handled the majority of the workload with 17 total touches.

Footballguys View: Gurley was barely used and didn’t do anything that would make an observer malign that decision. He won’t be more than a committee back for the Super Bowl and the offense seems to miss Cooper Kupp more than him.

Rams | C.J. Anderson totals 17 touches

Los Angeles Rams RB C.J. Anderson rushed 16 times for 44 yards in the NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints and he added a five-yard catch.

Footballguys View: Anderson wasn’t nearly as strong as he has regularly been since joining the Rams, but he was the lead back and will be playing a big role in the Super Bowl after being released twice this year.

Rams | Jared Goff just misses 300 yards

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff completed 25-of-40 passes for 297 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the NFC Championship Game overtime win against the New Orleans Saints.

Footballguys View: Goff had a slow start with a rushed dumpoff to Todd Gurley that Gurley mishandled into an interception, but he calmed down and got his team back into the game with a strong performance after the running game that carried them last week dried up. He’ll start his first Super Bowl at 24 years old.

Rams | Greg Zuerlein kicks L.A. to Super Bowl

Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein made a 48-yard field goal with 19 seconds left in regulation of the NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints to force overtime and he made a franchise-record 57-yard field goal to win it in OT.

Footballguys View: The Rams needed some help from the officials, who missed a pass interference that might have ended the game, but their offense was effective once they fell behind 13-0 and their defense made plays at the right time.
