University of Michigan TE Zach Gentry has announced that he will be entering the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Cleveland Browns signed C Kyle Friend and WR Daniel Williams to Reserve/Futures contracts Tuesday, Jan. 1. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano interviewed for the Denver Broncos’ vacant head coaching position on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles believes he’ll be elsewhere in 2019, saying, ‘I don’t think I’ll be back next year. Being honest, I envision I’ll be somewhere else next year.’ It’s also possible the Jaguars may delay cutting him until 2020, when his dead cap hit would be just $5 million instead of $16.5 million this offseason.

New England Patriots FS Devin McCourty (head), FB James Develin (non-injury) and TE Dwayne Allen (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Ryan Switzer (ankle) is scheduled to have surgery on his right ankle later this week. He originally suffered the injury during the week of practice leading up to the club’s victory against the Patriots on Sunday, Dec. 16, but did not miss any time.

Seattle Seahawks CB Shaquill Griffin (ankle), FB Tre Madden (hamstring), S Bradley McDougald (knee), OT Duane Brown (knee) and OG J.R. Sweezy (foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Jan. 2. OG D.J. Fluker (hamstring) and S Tedric Thompson (ankle) were both limited, while DE Dion Jordan (knee) practiced in full.

Seattle Seahawks RB Mike Davis (foot) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Jan. 2.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) returned to practice Wednesday, Jan. 2, and was a limited participant.
