Steelers | Pittsburgh wants to bring back Ryan Shazier

Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II said the team would like to re-sign impending free agent LB Ryan Shazier (back) to a new deal this offseason, even though he will not be able to play football during the 2019 campaign. He recently resumed jogging, has been dead-lifting weights in the 135-pound range and spent much of 2018 watching game film of opponents and attending team meetings.

Colts | Darius Leonard honored as top defensive rookie

Indianapolis Colts LB Darius Leonard was named the 2018 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Saturday, Feb. 3. He led all NFL players in total tackles (163) and solo tackles (111), while finishing second among rookies with seven sacks. Leonard had previously been named a first-team All-Pro selection by The Associated Press, as well as the Defensive Rookie of the Year by the Pro Football Writers’ Association.
