Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers LB Dee Ford’s five-year contract has a base value of $85 million and a maximum value of $87.5 million, with $45 million in guaranteed money. The deal can turn into a one-year, $20.5 million pact, with $19.75 million in guaranteed money due by next week. The remaining $25.25 million in guaranteed money is for injury only, with $13.65 million becoming fully guaranteed April 1, 2020. If the 49ers cut Ford after the 2019 season, they would take a salary cap hit of $6.4 million. If he remains with San Francisco for the full length of the contract, he would earn base salaries of $14.5 million in 2020, $16 million in 2021 and $17 million each during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
