Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers LB Dee Ford’s five-year contract has a base value of $85 million and a maximum value of $87.5 million, with $45 million in guaranteed money. The deal can turn into a one-year, $20.5 million pact, with $19.75 million in guaranteed money due by next week. The remaining $25.25 million in guaranteed money is for injury only, with $13.65 million becoming fully guaranteed April 1, 2020. If the 49ers cut Ford after the 2019 season, they would take a salary cap hit of $6.4 million. If he remains with San Francisco for the full length of the contract, he would earn base salaries of $14.5 million in 2020, $16 million in 2021 and $17 million each during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Baltimore Ravens special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg has announced that he will retire in June following 11 seasons with the organization. Chris Horton, who had previously served as an assistant under Rosburg, will become the team’s new coordinator.
