Falcons | Kenyon Barner agrees to terms with ATL

Free-agent RB Kenjon Barner (Panthers) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, March 14. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys View: With Tevin Coleman (49ers) moving on in free agency, the Falcons needed to add some depth to the position. We should see Devonta Freeman as the top back with Ito Smith as his primary backup. Barner will work on special teams and compete with Brian Hill and Jeremy Langford for a spot on the depth chart behind Freeman and Smith.

Broncos | Joe Flacco lauded by John Elway

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco is entering his prime, in the opinion of general manager John Elway. Denver’s offensive system is similar to the system Flacco succeeded in with former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator and former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak. Furthermore, head coach Vic Fangio knows Flacco and coached with the Ravens when Flacco was there.
