Steelers | Ryan Switzer at voluntary workouts

Pittsburgh Steelers WR/KR Ryan Switzer (ankle) is participating in the team’s voluntary workouts this week, and was one of the first players in. He is taking part as he wants to get prepared for the 2019 season, and he enjoys the team bonding, too. ‘I think it’s big. I am learning more about them, they are learning more about who I am,’ Switzer said.

49ers | Hakeem Butler visits

Iowa State WR Hakeem Butler met with the San Francisco 49ers Tuesday, April 16, according to a source.

Footballguys View: Butler is one of the most heavily debated players in the 2019 NFL draft regardless of position. He should be a second-round pick but there’s a chance some team takes a shot on him in the late first round. Butler is a big target, measuring in at 6’5″ 227 pounds. He can push smaller defenders to the side and make plays on contested catches due to his size. Butler also has good run-after-the-catch ability and has good build up speed. We’ll be grabbing him in all dynasty formats.

Panthers | Cam Newton making progress

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) is making good progress in his recovery from shoulder surgery, but head coach Ron Rivera said there is no timetable for when Newton will be throwing at full strength.

Footballguys View: The Panthers will be wise and take it easy on Newton as he continues to progress. We imagine that at some point before training camp we’ll have a better idea of his status.
