NFL | Two teams meet with Drew Sample
Washington TE Drew Sample said he has met with the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: Sample brings a blue-collar work ethic to the football field and that should endear him to his pro coaches. He’s more than a blocking tight end even though his receiving numbers in college at Washington won’t blow you away. Expect Sample to go off the board in day three of the 2019 NFL draft.
NFL | Dawson Knox meeting with teams
Mississippi TE Dawson Knox said he is scheduled to meet with the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints before the 2019 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: Knox was a converted quarterback and certainly has an athletic profile that compares favorably to Kyle Rudolph. What Knox doesn’t have is any memories of scoring a touchdown in college because he never made it to the end zone with the Rebels. Knox has talent but he is a project at the tight end position and any team drafting him should know that going in.
