Giants | Evan Engram could be used as deep threat
New York Giants TE Evan Engram (hamstring) could be used more as a deep threat this season following the departure of WR Odell Beckham Jr. (Browns). Last season head coach Pat Shurmur set Engram out in motion, and even used him a few times to rush the ball. He has been sidelined due to a hamstring pull during offseason workouts.

Chargers | Philip Rivers may sit out preseason
Los Angeles Chargers QB Philip Rivers is not expected to receive a lot of snaps in the preseason and could sit out the entire preseason to make sure he is ready for the regular season.
Footballguys View: The Chargers don’t need to see Rivers much if at all during the exhibition portion of the summer. They are in a Super Bowl window so long as Rivers is their quarterback. We should see Tyrod Taylor get plenty of work and the Chargers want to see a lot of rookie quarterback Easton Stick too.
