Giants | Daniel Jones already making push to start?

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones reportedly outplayed Eli Manning during the team’s recent minicamp, and it wasn’t really close, in the opinion of Bleacher Report’s Mike Tanier, who stated Jones was ‘sharper, more accurate and more willing and able to challenge the defense with difficult downfield throws.’

Footballguys View: The Giants are irrationally committed to Manning, but once Jones superior play, even at this early point in his career, becomes apparent, they might have to make the rational move. Jones starting won’t be great for the Giants fantasy prospects, but it will still likely be better than Manning taking the field.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill likely to show up for minicamp

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is expected to practice with the team during minicamp next week as there appear to be ‘no signs’ his status will change between now and then, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Footballguys View: The Chiefs may not take any action on their own despite the optics on Hill looking very bad at this point. This situation could change at any moment, but for now it appears Kansas City is planning on keeping Hill.

Seahawks | Rashaad Penny slim and trim

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny has reportedly dropped 15 pounds and is being meant toward by Hall of Famer and fellow San Diego State alum Marshall Faulk.

Footballguys View: Chris Carson has been out with a knee issue, so Penny will get a lot of chances before training camp to impress the staff and push for more snaps and touches this season. His ADP is modest for a first-round pick on a team that loves to run the ball.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill not under investigation

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is currently not under investigation for child abuse it was revealed Friday, June 7. ‘It is not an active investigation,’ Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said in an email Friday to the Kansas City Star. ‘As in any case, if we receive additional evidence, we reevaluate.’

Footballguys View: He is still under investigation by the Kansas Department for Children and Families. The Chiefs and the NFL will likely wait to act until the investigation has completed. He is not on the commissioner’s exempt list, but Hill has been suspended from all team activities indefinitely.
