Cowboys | Dallas to send two to PUP

Dallas Cowboys CB Byron Jones (hip) and DE DeMarcus Lawrence (shoulder) will be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to The Dallas Morning News’ David Moore, who says neither player is expected to practice during the team’s time in Oxnard, Calif., where the Cowboys will practice until Aug. 15. Both players are expected to be ready for Week 1 against the New York Giants.

Titans | Ryan Succop recovering from knee surgery

Tennessee Titans PK Ryan Succop (knee) underwent knee surgery sometime after last season, but the procedure did not go as ‘neatly as planned.’ He experienced swelling after the fact and is still dealing with some issues as a result, leading him to begin training camp on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. The team remains optimistic he will be ready for Week 1, however.

Buccaneers | Peyton Barber the favorite to start?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber is the team’s most experienced running back, and the new offensive staff has been very complimentary of him after breaking down his film over the last couple of seasons. According to Mark Cook of PewterReport.com, it would be a shock if Barber doesn’t come out of camp as the starting running back over Ronald Jones.
