Saints | Michael Thomas agrees to deal

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas agreed to a five-year, $100 million extension Wednesday, July 31. The deal includes $61 million guaranteed, and he becomes the highest-paid receiver in the league, through the 2024 season.

Footballguys View: Thomas was in the final year of his new contract and now gets the money he deserves, especially after catching 321 passes for 3,787 yards and 23 touchdowns through his first three seasons in the league. Fantasy GMs know what he can do as the top target for QB Drew Brees, and Thomas has a current ADP of WR4 (1.10) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Giants | Sterling Shepard participates in 1-handed drills

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (thumb) participated in live drills Tuesday, July 30, while wearing a yellow jersey and only being allowed to use one hand due to his broken thumb.

Footballguys View: Every since he injured his thumb, Shepard has been getting some limited work in during practice. He wears a splint on his thumb and Shepard is hoping to be back in time for the regular season opener.
