Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (back) was held out of the team’s exhibition game against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Aug. 15, due to back tightness, and head coach Matt LaFleur said afterward it’s not a ‘necessity’ to have Rodgers play at all in the preseason. ‘I think we’d like to see him, but you’re talking about a veteran quarterback that’s played a lot of football,’ LaFleur said via PackersNews.com following Thursday’s game. ‘I don’t think it’s a necessity, but it’s certainly something that we’d like to see.’
