Redskins | Week 4 Washington Redskins inactives

The Washington Redskins have declared CB Aaron Colvin, QB Colt McCoy, WR Terry McLaurin, OG Brandon Scherff, TE Jordan Reed, LB Cassanova McKinzy and C Chase Roullier inactive for Week 4.

Footballguys View: Robert Davis, Kelvin Harmon, and Steven Sims will get more play with McLaurin out and we shouldn’t consider him a sure thing for next week’s game vs. New England. Scherff and Rouiller being out means Washington only has 2 of their projected starters on the offensive line healthy for this game.

Patriots | Week 4 New England Patriots inactives

The New England Patriots have declared LB Dont’a Hightower, DL Byron Cowart, OT Caleb Benenoch, DB Joejuan Williams, QB Cody Kessler, RB Damien Harris and OT Korey Cunningham inactive for Week 4.

Footballguys View: Harris isn’t needed today with Rex Burkhead able to go. Julian Edelman is active but could be limited by his rib injury.

Jaguars | Jalen Ramsey to participate in warmups

Jacksonville Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (back) will participate in pregame warmups prior to Week 4’s game against the Denver Broncos to determine if he’s ready to play, according to a source. He did not practice at all during the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report.

Footballguys View: All signs are pointing towards Ramsey not playing, but it’s not certain yet. Be more inclined to play Emmanuel Sanders or Courtland Sutton as your WR3/Flex today, but hope for the forecasted wind to not play a big part in limiting the downfield passing game.

Saints | Sheldon Rankins expected to play

New Orleans Saints DT Sheldon Rankins (Achilles) is expected to make his season debut in Week 4’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, barring a setback during pregame warmups. He was listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited practice participant throughout the week.

Footballguys View: Rankins is a major disruptor on the defensive line so this is a good development for the Saints defense. Tonight’s game could be a low-scoring affair like last year’s Cowboys-Saints battle.

Lions | Darius Slay might not play in Week 4

Detroit Lions CB Darius Slay (hamstring) is listed as a game-time decision for Week 4’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, although there appears to be a sense of pessimism surrounding his availability, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report.

Footballguys View: The Lions can’t afford to be without their best corner against Patrick Mahomes, but it sounds like he will be limited in effectiveness even if he does play. Upgrade the whole Chiefs passing attack.

Browns | Denzel Ward not expected to play in Week 4

Cleveland Browns CB Denzel Ward (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 4’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to a source. He had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being unable to practice during the week.

Footballguys View: It should be a big day for Marquise Brown if Lamar Jackson can dial in the deep ball accuracy.
