Packers | Jordan Love ready to learn

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love says he’s preparing to be a sponge and soak up knowledge from current Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. ‘I’m going to get back here and learn as much as I can from Aaron,’ Love said. ‘He’s an amazing player, and I know I’m going to learn a lot from him. I’m not sure how that situation is going to work, but like I said I’m just excited to be behind him and do whatever the team needs when I’m (called) upon.’

Cowboys | Amari Cooper to play more slot?

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper could play more from the slot with the Cowboys drafting WR CeeDee Lamb in the first round Thursday, April 23, according to one NFL personnel analyst.

Footballguys View: Lamb and Michael Gallup on the outside are a formidable duo by themselves. Move Cooper into the slot and you’re really dangerous. The Cowboys have a ton of options, and more weapons for QB Dak Prescott, with Lamb picked in the first round on Thursday night.

Dolphins | Tua Tagovailoa elicits security

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) hasn’t been examined by the team’s doctors since the scouting combine, but head coach Brian Flores said Thursday, April 23 that the team was very secure in drafting the Alabama product with the fifth-overall pick. Flores added, though, it’s too early to speculate when the rookie might get on the field this coming season.

Footballguys View: Tagovailoa is likely to sit for a bit of time behind Ryan Fitzpatrick. We could see the Dolphins using Fitzpatrick to begin the regular season then Tagovailoa taking over around the midway point. We’ll see this competition unfold in training camp.

Panthers | Curtis Samuel still drawing interest

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel continues to draw interest from teams pursing a trade. The Panthers haven’t been interested so far, but they could if they receive an offer they can’t refuse over the next few days.

Footballguys View: Samuel is likely to find a new home if the Panthers can find the right offer. He’s a threat after the catch and can turn short catches into long gains. The Panthers added WR Robby Anderson in free agency and D.J. Moore continues to get better and better. Samuel needs a fresh start with a new team where he could actually see the field more.
