Broncos | Denver drafts Jerry Jeudy

Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy was selected by the Denver Broncos Thursday, April 23, with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Footballguys View: The best wide receiver in the draft falls to the Broncos. He’s a great route-runner who can get open against the tightest coverage. Jeudy is fast and moves quickly without losing his speed. He’ll be a No.2 receiver for the Broncos opposite Courtland Sutton.

Raiders | Henry Ruggs drafted by Vegas

Alabama WR Henry Ruggs III was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders Thursday, April 23, with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Footballguys View: The Raiders wanted speed and that’s what they get with Ruggs. He’ll be their No.1 receiver with Tyrell Williams on the other side. With Hunter Renfrow as their slot receiver, the Raiders have a nice trio of targets for QB Derek Carr…or Marcus Mariota.

Chargers | Justin Herbert lands in lap of Bolts

Oregon QB Justin Herbert was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers Thursday, April 23, with the sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Footballguys View: The Chargers have their quarterback of the future. Herbert reminds some in the scouting community of Titans QB Ryan Tannehill because of his size and athleticism. He’s a bit robotic as a decision maker and may sit behind Tyrod Taylor for some time as a rookie.

Dolphins | Phins land Tua Tagovailoa

Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa was selected by the Miami Dolphins Thursday, April 23, with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Footballguys View: Tagovaioloa is the Dolphins quarterback of the future. He reminds some in the scouting community of a left-handed Drew Brees. Tagovailoa is smart and accurate, plus he’s got the athleticism to keep plays alive with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. He should start in the near future, although Ryan Fitzpatrick might begin the 2020 regular season as the starter.
