Eagles | Philadelphia falling for CeeDee Lamb?
Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb is reportedly the ‘apple of (general manager Howie Roseman’s) eye’ and a prospect that Roseman is ‘absolutely in love’ with, according to Joe Tordy of 97.5 The Fanatic.
Footballguys View: The Eagles are sitting at No.21 overall in the 2020 NFL draft, and there is no way that Lamb is going to fall that far. He won’t make it past the Broncos at No.15 overall at the very latest. Lamb reminds many in the scouting community of Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins because of his speed, hands and body control. Roseman loves trading, and he’d have to move up if Lamb is his ‘can’t miss’ guy.
Buccaneers | O.J. Howard back on the trade block?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE O.J. Howard is a possibility to be traded within the next week, according to comments made on The GM Shuffle podcast by former NFL executive Michael Lombardi on Wednesday, April 15.
Footballguys View: We’ll see if that happens. Howard would be a huge benefactor from the acquisition of QB Tom Brady. The Bucs to have Cameron Brate at the position if they do move on from the former first-round pick.
Dolphins | Miami highly invested in Justin Herbert
Oregon QB Justin Herbert has been the focus of much research by the Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson reported Wednesday, April 15, that ‘no team has done more work on (Herbert)’ than the Dolphins over the last two seasons.
Footballguys View: It’s seems more and more likely that Herbert is going to go at No.5 overall to the Dolphins. He’s a big-bodied passer with a strong arm and could be groomed as the eventual starter and future franchise quarterback. The Dolphins could begin the season with Ryan Fitzpatrick as their starter while Herbert gets ready for his debut.
