Seattle Seahawks C Justin Britt could be on the roster bubble this offseason since the team could save $8.5 million in salary cap space if he is let go. The team signed C B.J. Finney and OG Mike Iupati during free agency.

Seahawks | Malik Turner could return
Free-agent WR Malik Turner (Seahawks) could re-sign with the Seattle Seahawks later in the offseason even though the team rescinded his tender offer.
Footballguys View: Turner was tendered as an ERFA, so he could have signed with Seattle or not played football. Now an unrestricted free agent, we’ll see if Turner finds a new home or if he stays with Seattle.
Seahawks | DK Metcalf to move around more
Seattle Seahawks WR DK Metcalf probably will be moved around the field and asked to run more routes next season, according to offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. ‘I just think the flexibility of moving him around and introducing some different route concepts that we can kind of get him up to speed on will complement the things that he’s already put on film. It will be an incredible, incredible advantage for us as we head into next season,’ Schottenheimer said.
Footballguys View: Metcalf is big, fast and physical as a receiver. During his rookie season in 2019, Metcalf flashed big-time ability as a dangerous threat in the Seattle passing game. Moving him around could get him open even more, so we’re excited about him — especially in dynasty formats.
NFL | Ted Ginn not planning to retire
Free-agent WR Ted Ginn Jr. (Saints) said he has no plans to retire and believes he can play a few more seasons.
Footballguys View: Ginn still has his trademark speed, so there’s likely a market for that…after the draft. This draft class features the greatest group of WRs we’ve ever seen enter the league, so teams are now concentrating on adding rookie talent. Once we get closer to training camp, Ginn should find a new home.
NFL | Demaryius Thomas wants to continue playing
Free-agent WR Demaryius Thomas (Jets) said he hopes to play next season and is feeling good physically.
Footballguys View: Thomas wants to hit 10,000 yards receiving for his career, and right now he’s 229 yards from that mark. He’s no longer the No.1 receiver he used to be, but Thomas could be a veteran mentor and work as quality depth — provided he’s healthy — for some team in 2020.
Eagles | Joe Flacco an option for Philly?
Free-agent QB Joe Flacco (Broncos) said he would be open to signing with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason.
Rams | Jared Goff open to reworking deal
Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff said he is open to restructuring his contract if the team needs to create some salary cap space.
Texans | David Johnson passes physical with Houston
RB David Johnson passed his physical with the Houston Texans, which clears the final hurdle in the completion of the trade between the Texans and Arizona Cardinals that also included WR DeAndre Hopkins, who previously passed his physical with Arizona.
Raiders | WR could be early choice for Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders may use the 12th overall selection in the NFL Draft on a wide receiver. Depending on how the draft plays out, the Raiders might have their choice between the top three receivers available: The general consensus includes Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy, Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb and Alabama WR Henry Ruggs III. General manager Mike Mayock recently made it clear the team needs to get better at receiver, as they look to provide QB Derek Carr with a new weapon. Mayock believes all three of those receivers are high-level players, but each brings different traits to the field. With a deep class of wide receivers in the draft, the Raiders might also dip back into the well in later rounds, too, even if they invest in the position early.
Browns | 2020 a key year for Baker Mayfield
The 2020 season will be a very important year for Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield, according to Dan Labbe, of Cleveland.com. Mayfield is under contract for the next two seasons and the Browns have a fifth-year option on him for 2022, which has to be exercised by May 3, 2021. He could be in line to help reset the quarterback pay market if Mayfield plays like he did at the end of the 2018 campaign.
