Patriots | Tyler Hughes hired by Pats

Tyler Hughes, most recently the head coach of Bountiful High School in Utah, was hired by the New England Patriots as a coaching assistant. Hughes worked on Urban Meyer’s staff at Ohio State in 2012 as a quality control assistant, where he performed advanced scouting, film analysis and data analytics to increase offensive efficiency and productivity.

Philadelphia Eagles OG Matt Pryor and fourth-round pick OG Jack Driscoll are two in-house options being considered to start at right guard after Brandon Brooks tore his Achilles’ on Monday, June 15. However, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Reuben Frank believes there is a possibility the Eagles may reach out to free-agent OT Jason Peters (Eagles) to fill the void.
